What a great day on Friday raising money for Children in Need – it was fabulous to see all our yellow and spotty children!  We raised £346.66! Good job Team Whitefield!

SUPERSTAR JOSH!

I was really pleased to receive an email on Monday about one of our children, Josh in Year 5, who continued the fundraising for Children in Need by raising even more money at Preston Parkrun. Josh raised an amazing £117.00!  Well done Josh – we are all super proud of you!

STAFF CHANGES

It was a sad day on Friday too as we said goodbye to Mrs Gordon. Mrs Gordon has been a teaching assistant with us for ten years and is moving on to pastures new at the NHS.  We sang her a song and wished her lots of luck in her new life!

Due to Mrs Gordon leaving, we have a bit of a re-jig in some classes. Mrs Morris is now working in Year 2 alongside Miss Nuttall and Mrs Willers, Mrs Chauhan is working in 1KG with Mrs Ginty and Mr Birchall is working in the Reception classes every morning.

SCHOOL DINNERS

We are now on our new winter menu in school and there have been some brilliant new meals being prepared by Paula and the gang in the kitchen. We’ve had chicken flat breads that were the size of our faces, a brilliant corned beef hash hot pot and the best chocolate mousse pudding ever!  Some of the children were a bit perplexed by the macaroni cheese last week as it had onion in it.  Many didn’t like it so next time we are taking the onion out so it’s just mac cheese and no hidden bits!
