Statement of Intent

whitefieldshield50v2.png

We aim to ensure that the children, parents, staff, governors and community work together to offer a welcoming, caring, stimulating and safe environment for everyone.

The children, their education and welfare are vital in all decision making at Whitefield. We aim to provide a rich, varied, balanced and well-resourced curriculum.

Our aim is that the lives of all children who leave Whitefield will have been enhanced by their learning with us, and that each child will develop self esteem and leave equipped with the ability and eagerness to learn more. We encourage children to develop self-discipline and respect, to become valued citizens, ready to meet the challenges of a changing world.

Our school community has agreed on the following core values:

Aim High,

Be responsible,

Care and respect

Based on these core values, we discuss with the children and agree on our class and school rules or code of conduct each year.

Some practical examples of what was decided this year are:

Aim high - always try your best in everything you do, persevere and take part

Be responsible - tell the truth, be responsible for your actions, value people and property, allow others to learn

Caring and respectful - be kind, treat others as you would wish to be treated
